What is polyacrylamide?
Polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer that is insoluble in most organic solvents. Classified by ionic characteristics, it falls into four main types: non-ionic, anionic, cationic, and amphoteric. Possessing excellent flocculating properties and the ability to reduce interfacial friction, polyacrylamide finds extensive application across industrial sectors including water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgy, geology, light industry and textiles, and construction. It is often referred to as the “industrial flavour enhancer”.
