1, water temperature: the hydrolysis of flocculant is related to the temperature, generally speaking, the water temperature of 20 ~ 30 ℃ is appropriate. Whenever the temperature rises 10℃, the hydrolysis rate increases 1 times. Temperature especially has a big influence on the flocculation effect of aluminium salt, when the water temperature is lower than 5℃, the hydrolysis speed of aluminium salt is very slow and the effect is significantly reduced. Temperature in 10 ~ 15 ℃, the generation of Al (OH) 3 floc is amorphous, loose and not easy to settle, low water temperature, water consumption hysteresis coefficient is large, resistance increases, the number of collisions is reduced, affecting the flocculation effect. At this time, polymer coagulant can be added to improve the treatment effect, or use air flotation instead of precipitation as a follow-up process. And when the temperature rises, the floc is more compact and easy to settle.
2, pH value: aluminium, iron salt flocculant hydrolysis products in the main flocculation is the role of multinuclear multi-hydroxyl cation of electrical neutralisation and adsorption of bridging, followed by hydroxide precipitation of the tape net trapping effect. If aluminium and iron salts are used to treat wastewater, hydrolysis proceeds as a result of which the solution pH is reduced. If the alkalinity of the raw water is insufficient, to neutralise the newly increased H ions, alkali agents should be put in to improve the alkalinity. Generally put in coagulant aid, such as adding lime or soda (about 20mg / L, in CaO). The most suitable pH value for aluminium salt is 6.4-7.8, and the best pH value for iron salt flocculation is 6.0-6.4.
3. Dosage of coagulant: The dosage of flocculant depends on the concentration of colloid, the number of positive and negative electrical properties and charge, and the pH value of flocculation process. The optimal dosage range of various flocculation is different from each other.
