1, water temperature: the hydrolysis of the flocculant is related to the temperature, generally speaking, the water temperature of 20 to 30 ℃ is appropriate. Whenever the temperature rises 10℃, the hydrolysis rate increases by 1 times. Temperature especially on the flocculation effect of aluminum salt has a greater impact, when the water temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the hydrolysis of aluminum salt is very slow, the role of a significant reduction. Temperature in 10 ~ 15 ℃, the generation of Al (OH) 3 floc is amorphous, loose and not easy to settle, low water temperature, water consumption hysteresis coefficient is large, resistance increases, the number of collisions is reduced, affecting the flocculation effect. At this time, polymer coagulant can be added to improve the treatment effect, or use air flotation instead of precipitation as a follow-up process. And when the temperature rises, the floc is more compact and easy to settle.
2, pH value: aluminum, iron salt flocculant hydrolysis products in the main flocculating effect is the electrical neutralization of multinuclear polyhydroxyl cations and adsorption of bridging effect, followed by hydroxide precipitation of the tape net trapping effect. If aluminum and iron salts are used to treat wastewater, the hydrolysis proceeds as a result of lowering the pH of the solution. If the alkalinity of the original water is insufficient, to neutralize the newly increased H ions, should be put into the alkali chemicals to improve the alkalinity. Generally put in coagulant aid, such as adding lime or soda (about 20mg/L, in terms of CaO). The most suitable pH value for aluminum salt is 6.4-7.8, and the best pH value for iron salt flocculation is 6.0-6.4.
