Dissolution Guidelines: When dissolving, slowly add
PAC to rotating water to prevent clumping caused by bulk addition. Dissolution slows below 5°C, but avoid temperatures exceeding 60°C to prevent degradation. When adding flocculant during reverse osmosis pretreatment: Select white, high-purity
polyaluminium chloride as the flocculant. Pure water ratio: 1:15. Add pure water first, then the chemical. Dissolve and stir thoroughly in the barrel before transferring to the chemical tank. Dosage: 3 ppm. Dosage Determination: Reference Range: The standard dosage ranges from 50 to 200 mg/L (equivalent to 50–200 grams per tonne of water), with specific adjustments required based on raw water turbidity. Turbidity-Dosage Correspondence: For raw water turbidity between 100–500 mg/L, add 5–20 kg of
PAC per thousand tonnes of water. For highly turbid water, dosage may be appropriately increased, but pilot testing is required to avoid excess. Pilot Testing Method: Conduct beaker tests using water samples. Gradually increase PAC dosage while observing floc formation rate and supernatant clarity to determine the optimum dosage.
