polyacrylamide (APAM) typically has a higher molecular weight and poorer water solubility. Its molecules exhibit greater extension in water, providing excellent particle entrapment and bridging functions. This enlarges and thickens the flocculation structure, effectively treating suspended solids or heavy metal ions for sedimentation separation and achieving flocculation.
