The reason for substituting PAC for polyacrylamide (PAM) is that PAM is too costly to achieve equivalent treatment results. PAC offers several advantages: rapid floc formation, fast settling, excellent coagulation performance, easy sludge dewatering, strong adaptability to variations in raw water properties, broad applicability, low consumption, minimal corrosion, and low cost.
