Characteristics of electroplating wastewater sewage: this type of wastewater is generally strong acidic water quality, water quality is complex, the composition is not easy to control, which contains chromium, cadmium, nickel, copper, zinc, gold, silver and other heavy metal ions, some of which belong to the carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic and highly toxic substances. Polyacrylamide for electroplating wastewater use and precautions
1, polyacrylamide through a small test to determine the model, as well as the dosage of the product.
2、Products are prepared into a 0.1% (refers to the solid content) concentration of aqueous solution, to neutral water without salt is appropriate.
3、When dissolving water, the product is evenly sprinkled into the stirred water, and the solution can be accelerated by adding temperature (<60℃) appropriately.
4、Packed in polypropylene woven bag lined with plastic bag, 25kg per bag.
5、Solid products should not be scattered on the ground, in order to prevent the product from absorbing moisture and make the ground slippery.
6、When preparing aqueous solution of polyacrylamide, it should be carried out in enamel, galvanised, aluminium or plastic drums, and should not be prepared and stored in iron containers.
7、When dissolving, it should be noted that the product should be added evenly and slowly into the dissolver with stirring and heating measures, solidification should be avoided, the solution should be prepared at suitable temperature, and prolonged and over-dramatic mechanical shear should be avoided. It is recommended that the agitator 60-200 rpm, otherwise it will lead to polymer degradation and affect the use effect.
When most of electroplating wastewater is under strong acid condition, generally we choose cationic type, and for coagulation under alkaline condition, generally we choose anionic polyacrylamide with ultra-high molecular weight as coagulant aid.
