Solid polyacrylamide is white or slightly yellow granules or powder, molecular weight between 4-20 million, solid product appearance is white or slightly yellow powder, polyacrylamide type flocculant, is a high molecular weight organic compounds, molecular weight of most of them are more than a few million, some even close to 20 million. So their dissolution methods and inorganic small molecule iron salt, aluminium salt coagulants have a big difference. Generally speaking, the following principles should be followed.
1. Powdered polyacrylamide flocculant can not be directly added to the sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and its aqueous solution is used to treat sewage.
2. The water used to dissolve the powdered polymer should be clean water (e.g. tap water), not sewage, room temperature water can be, generally do not need to add temperature. Water temperature is lower than 5OC when the dissolution is very slow. If the water temperature is increased, the dissolution speed will be accelerated, but above 40OC, the polymer will be degraded faster, which will affect the use effect. General tap water is suitable for the preparation of polymer solutions, but strong acid, strong alkali, high salt water is not suitable for preparation.
3. The concentration of polymer solution, our company suggests 0.1% to 0.3%, that is, 1 litre of water with 1 to 3 grams of polymer powder.
The following factors should be considered in selecting the concentration.
If the tank is small and the daily dosage is large, it is recommended to make it slightly thicker (e.g. 0.3 per cent).
If the molecular weight of the polymer is very high, it is recommended to make it slightly thinner (e.g. 0.1%).
If the polymer solution is injected into the wastewater and the dispersion is not good due to the equipment, it is recommended to make it slightly thinner.
