The relationship between polyacrylamide selection and sludge properties

For inorganic sludge, on the other hand, non-ionic polyacrylamides can be chosen, as these polymer molecules do not contain charged groups and can interact directly with the inorganic substances on the surface of the sludge particles, thus playing a cohesive role and improving the dewatering efficiency. In addition, the molecular weight of the polyacrylamide also has an impact on its application in sludge treatment. High molecular weight polyacrylamides with longer molecular chains can better increase the interaction between the sludge particles and thus improve the dewatering efficiency and reduce costs.
